Problem solving Week 15  Show all work.

1 Tami is building a rectangular kennel for her dog.  She wants the kennel to have an area of 24 square yards.  What is the least amount of fencing Tami needs to enclose the kennel? (Use whole numbers only).

2.  The numbers 1 through 100 are placed in a bag, what is the probability of drawing out a prime number?  Explain.

3. A perfect number is a number that equals the sum of its factors not including itself.  For example, the factors of 28 are 1, 2, 4, 7, 14, and 28.  Because 1+2+4+7+14 = 28, 28 is a perfect number.  What are the perfect numbers between 1 and 10?

4.  You are going to eat chicken with one vegetable and one fruit for lunch.  List all the possible meals you can eat using the selections below,

Vegetable: Corn, Green Beans

Pie: Peach, Apple, Banana, Orange, Grapes
